Angela Gomes and Maria Luiza Falcao are high-level officers of the Secretariat of the Council for Economic and Social Development (CDES), a program directly linked to the Brazilian presidency. They will discuss the Brazilian experience with the country’s Council for Economic and Social Development, particularly the role of organized civil society on the national debate on equitable development. For the next two years, Brazil, represented by the Minister of Institutional Relations, holds the Presidency of the International Association of Economic and Social Councils and Similar Institutions (AICESIS).
