Juan Rua Serna (M.A., Universidad de los Andes – Colombia) is a Ph.D. student in Political Science at The Graduate Center, CUNY. His research focuses on international relations, with particular interests in migration studies, border politics, and international organizations. He is currently exploring the intersection of migration and climate change. Prior to joining The Graduate Center, he worked in the humanitarian sector for several years, analyzing protection threats and human rights violations affecting migrants in Latin America.
